• 100% green Electricity gained by an own windmill
• Kilometer reduction by extensive collaboration
• Expansion of rail transportation

The next goal for De Graaf Logistics is to gain the Green Label. This label will be the prominent label for the transportation sector. Local authorities will provide special privileges to companies who are in the possession of such a label. Companies can qualify themselves for this label when they can prove that they have succeeded in achieving the goals formulated in the report written for the Green Label.
Green electricity at DGL

Since January 2009 there are 6 Windmills at Industrial park Weststad in Oosterhout. Each windmill has a capacity of 2,5 Mega Watt, together that’s enough to supply 1500 households of electricity.
Evelop has three windmills on the terrain of Martens, two on the terrain of IKEA and the sixth on the terrain of De Graaf Logistics. The windmills of the three companies are put on three separate windmill companies. The electricity of the windmill on the terrain of DGL will first be used to power DGL, the rest of the power will be send to the local power grid. Oosterhout and surroundings can take use of that power. If the windmills our out of operation DGL will get there power from local power grid.
Faster en better traceable by scanning!
Together with the logistical partners of DGL we decided to start scanning barcodes in our network. Barcodes give better and faster traceability. It is necessary that every shipment has its own unique barcode.
Why better?
Because every shipment unit has its own unique barcode, we can see when the unit was scanned. Because it needs to be scanned at every location, with the location where to place the goods. We can see where the goods need to be placed. And the scanner sends this information to our TMS system.
Why faster?
Direct after scanning your goods, the scan data is sent to our TMS(transport management system) by DGL or one of our partners. And because our track & trace data on our website is 1 on 1 attached to our TMS, the customer will be able to seed this information.
Sending of shipment information, much easier.
To make it easier for the customer to print barcodes and enter shipment information DGL and there partners have made a program for this. This progam is in the form of a website. And can be accessed on this page by going to Login Customers and choosing woei(web order entry information system). By de login information every customer can use this. These logins can be given by one of our emplyees. For customers how use automated systems that can generate sending information with barcode print the stickers and send the information to us don't have to use this web page.
